At 2:30 am on Saturday, April 15, we were awoken by a crash. We rushed downstairs to find a Nissan Maxima inside our living room.

jkohl > The storage table under the living room window to the side yard was destroyed, but the drawer survived. The complete Far Side boxed set (box in center of photo, one volume to the upper right of photo), which was a gift to me from Ed, had been sitting on that table.
jkohl > I liked that end table.
jkohl > From inside after the car was pulled out by a tow truck. Our carpet was torn up by the forward motion of the car and the walls. Through the hole you can see the yard.

jkohl > After the car was pulled out: In the foreground, the floor of the living room, ending directly next to the grass of the side yard, since the wall was levered up. That brown mass in the center of the picture is the remains of Ed's armchair.

jkohl > Debris in the yard: walls, siding, glass, trim, insulation. The dolphin in the lower-right corner was a gift from Ed soon after we started dating; it had been sitting in a mirrored shelf hung on the wall in the corner.
